International Bhikkhuni Day 2024

In September, the Dhammadharini Bhikkhuni community plans to hold three events for the yearly "International Bhikkhuni Day" and "Fourfold Sangha Day"  commemoration of the founding of the Buddha's Bhikkhuni Sangha.

The planned events are: 

• Saturday September 14th: Half-day meditation retreat at Aranya Bodhi Hermitage (In-person only, Please register separately for this in-person only event)
• Sunday, September 15, 1-2:30pm International Bhikkhuni Day Dhamma Reflections (Online or in-person at Dhammadharini Monastery)
• Tuesday, September 17, 7-9pm Bhikkhuni Panel Discussion (Online only)

The Dhammadharini Bhikkhuni Sangha will gather, to reflect on the importance of having Bhikkhunis in our world, and the inspiration we have all received from Bhikkhunis both ancient and modern. There will be opportunity to hear from the members of the Dhammadharini community, as well as special Bhikkhuni guest participants.
