Greetings Dhamma friends!
On Saturday, May 10th, we are delighted to welcome friends and supporters to visit, share in a meal, and meet with our monastics for blessings, Dhamma sharing, and bathing the baby Buddha, in celebration of Vesak -- honoring the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and final Nirvana (Parinibbāna).
It is also Mother's Day weekend, and we will be especially honoring the mothers in the Buddha's life: Mother Mahā Māyā, Mother Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī who raised him, Mother Sujātā, who offered milkrice to the Buddha just prior to his great awakening, and Mother Rāhulamātā, mother of the Buddha's son Rāhula.
This is a traditional time of the year for the whole community to come together, and we look forward to connecting with you during this time!
