If you would like to make a donation in support of the Dhammadharini Bhikkhuni Sangha, there are several ways you can go about it:
- in person
- postal mail
- bill pay
- wire transfer
- secure online donation
- recurring donations
You can make a dedication when you make your donation, such as for a dear departed loved one, or any other dedication you wish.
You can designate your donation for any purpose you wish, such as one of our major projects, a gift to pay for a specific item, or “whatever is most needed.” Your donation can be designated for requisites to be used for an individual monastic, such as “shoes for Ven. X.”
In addition to direct financial donations, the New Monastery/Vihara fund can be supported by way of personal loans or pledges of future support. [link
Dhammadharini projects worthy of your support
Here are some of the special projects that have been organized by the Dhammadharini support foundation.
- New Monastery Fund — Dhammadharini has recently gone ahead with undertaking our longterm dream of obtaining a permanent bhikkhuni monastery that will be accessible to all. Friends of Dhammadharini half of the price of a new monastery property. The remaining half has been financed by Bank of Marin through our Dhammadharini Support Foundation. We now have the real opportunity make our shared dream a reality, by way of financial gifts and pledges of ongoing monthly support. Every dollar given or pledged brings us closer to success in achieving financial security for the new monastery. [link]

Dhammadharini, (original name Dhammadharini Support Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the State of California with Federal Church status.
Your financial and in-kind donations may be tax deductible.
Thank you for your support of our Sangha!
May your generosity bring you joy.
How to make a donation
In keeping with the original Buddhist monastic discipline, Theravada monastics of the forest traditions do not receive, handle or keep money.
They may receive material support only in the form of food, clothing, lodgings and medicine. In modern times, Buddhist monastics also travel in vehicles and use devices for study and communication.
As the lay stewardship organization, Dhammadharini support foundation will use your financial gifts to provide these basic requisites to our Bhikkhuni Sangha who are practicing at the Dhammadharini Vihara in Santa Rosa, Aranya Bodhi Hermitage in Jenner, and the Peace Pagoda in Fremont, CA.
If you wish for your donation to be known by a monastic and acknowledged by them, you may offer them a note mentioning your donation. They will then rejoice in knowing of your generosity. If the donation was made for their requisite needs, they will also then know that such is available to them through Dhammadharini.
Making a donation in person
There are donation boxes at Dhammadharini Monastery and Aranya Bodhi Hermitage. At other venues, if there is a white-robed anagarika or lay companion present with the monastic, ask if the companion is willing to deliver your donation.
Please do not offer monastics cash, checks made out to the monastic, or checks with the “pay to” line left blank ... even in an envelope or by placing in a bag.
A check made out to "Dhammadharini" may be accepted by the monastic, who will then turn the check over to the financial officer or steward.
Making a donation by mail
Checks or money orders may be made payable to "Dhammadharini" and posted to:
