About the Event
This week our community and many of our friends are celebrating the Astro-Solar New Year, in Sinhala "Avurudu" and in Thai "Songkran" -- a time of renewal, forgiveness, and honoring our ancestors, and here at the monastery it feels distinctly that the season is turning to springtime.
You are welcome to join a gathering at Dhammadharini Monastery on Sunday April 14th, to celebrate the New Year, to appreciate Susie Kliks for her long service on our Board of Directors, and also to celebrate the birthday of a good friend of the community - a lovely springtime gathering of old & new friends.
We’d love for you to join us! This event will be in-person only, outdoors in our dana sala.
Welcome to arrive at 10am, join in offering of the meal to the Bhikkhuni Sangha at 11am, followed by a time of celebration.
Welcome to bring a dish to share for the meal.
