The Alliance for Bhikkhunis is a clearinghouse for information on bhikkhuni news, activities, challenges, achievements and history. Alliance for Bhikkhunis allocates 98%* of all donations to support and nourish the worldwide Theravada Bhikkhuni Sangha. Your donations contribute to bhikkhuni ordination and training costs; bhikkhuni medical, dental and health insurance expenses; bhikkhuni travel costs to conferences and retreats; and to providing requisites, including books and computers, to bhikkhuni viharas.

Sakyadhita USA

is the new national branch of Sakyadhita—International Association of Buddhist Women. Sakyadhita USA aims to network with Buddhist women in the U.S. to help women develop their potential as scholars, practitioners, teachers, counselors, artists, community organizers, and compassionate social activists.

Hearth Foundation

A home for spiritual parenting and homemaking. For those who wish to develop more mindfulness, peace and kindness in their families and everyday lives. The Hearth Foundation offers online lay Buddhist practice classes, a list of conscious parenting and homemaking resources, a place to connect with other like minded parents and a monthly newsletter. Although the orientation of the classes is Buddhist, Hearth honors all Wisdom traditions.

Women Active in Buddhism (WAiB)

the Web's first comprehensive collection of links and resources on contemporary Buddhist women. Women teachers, activists, scholars, nuns, and yoginis (practitioners) may be found on these pages, as well as teachings and special events, projects, organisations, bibliographic and contact information for women in Buddhism. We also offer a complete guide to the many female meditational deities found in Tibetan Buddhist practice.

Western Buddhist Monastic Gathering

 A yearly gathering of Buddhist monastics of all traditions living and practicing in the West, hosted by a rotation of Buddhist monasteries and retreat centers.

First International Congress on Buddhist Women's Role in the Sangha

The "1st International Congress on Buddhist Women's Role in the Sangha: Bhiksuni Ordination and Vinaya Lineages" was held at the University of Hamburg from July 18-20, 2007. Called for by HH the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, the congress assembled internationally recognized scholars in the field of Buddhist studies specializing in monastic discipline and history. Scholars presented papers relevant to the current debate on the status of ordained women, presenting research based on Buddhist texts and contemporary practice traditions in China, Korea, Taiwan, Tibet, and South Asia

Australian Sangha Association Bhikkhuni Committee

The Bhikkhuni Ordination Research Committee was established by the ASA at the 2006 conference The Bhikkhuni Ordination Research Committee is an educational body which provides information about the ordination of Bhikkhunis in different traditions.
